Helping heart disease through rugby
Welcome to the Gift of Hope Heart Fund, set up in memory of the late Stefan Czerpak.
Stefan was a teacher for 25 years and also a rugby coach for most of that time. He was looking forward to his first overseas appointment as England Colts rugby coach, in August 1998. Tragically, without any warning, he died of a massive heart attack on his way home from a work-out at the gym in July 1998, just a few weeks before flying to Argentina with the England Colts.
In December 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 'Stefan's Adidas BHF' charity team played in Stefan's memory in the Dubai 7's rugby tournament.
In December 2009 The British School Al Khubairat Staff Team will be playing in the Int. Social section. 'Stefan's BSAK BHF' As a tribute to Stefan all monies raised in memory is used by the BHF to help children with heart problems.

So far the fund has raised £2585.71 online and £4008.00 offline.
With the automatic tax bonus (Gift Aid) a further £448.03 will be added to the online total.
The total amount raised is £7041.74. |
This Fund will be supporting research that's helping children.
